Inspired by the Bengawan Solo river (Indonesia) along with the absurdist philosophy I directed this experimental short piece as a performative reflexion on how humanity progresses. My motivation was to research rythm conditionning in movement and film through bodies confrontation, using two opposite shots: one wide shot long take, and short close up shots.

Organised with the partnership of Studio Plesungan, Cinemovement Lab-06 took place from 4 - 11 January 2020 in Solo, Indonesia. Featuring guest lectures and workshops by performance artist Melati Suryodarmo, and collaboration with local profesional dancers.
